Kokedama Workshop – August 21, 2016

We are excited to announce that our next workshop will be on the Japanese art of Kokedama!  Our shop has been making these curiosities for quite some time now – either hanging, or resting on a lovely dish or tile.  When customers catch sight of them, they just have to ask: “What are these?”

Literally translating to “moss ball”, Kokedama is a form of bonsai where ordinary houseplants are transformed into structural works of art.  Join us on Sunday, August 21st to learn more about the history, production, and care of this relatively new phenomenon.  You’ll be provided with the necessary materials and guidance in making your very own Kokedama, along with everything you need to care for your creation.

Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm
